Photo-montage is an old technique for creating large panoramas from standard size photos. You might have seen the ones NASA makes from pictures sent back from space probes. I've been doing it for years and built up a collection. Next I need to get into Quicktime VR and one of those fancy cameras!

Bendick Murrel
We very nearly bought this church at Bendick Murrel, near Young in the New South Wales countryside. Great name for a hamlet!

Bellingen
One of the earliest montages I did, pasting the photos onto cardboard before I had a computer. The discolouration is caused by cat pee.

Bellingen lookout
View from the lookout at Bellingen, down the Thora valley. My mum used to live in the middle of this picture.

Dorrigo farm
Early morning on the property mum now owns.

Dorrigo forest
This was taken from the Skyway, a platform built out over the rainforest at Dorrigo.

Smokey sky
The first montage I did on a computer. The shots were taken during a major bushfire when the city was covered in smoke. The unfinished bridge is the Anzac bridge at Glebe, which the Olympic marathon crossed.

Squalor 1
These images show the depths to which human kind can sink. This guy, now an executive with a major computer company, defined punk for me. The house was sliding into the excavation for a supermarket carpark, and the landlord didn't give a shit about the state of the building. Beautiful.
